Covid-19 Information

Using our allotments during the COVID-19 pandemic

We are asking our allotment holders to use our spaces safely and responsibly, following the latest advice from the Government and Public Health England.

You can use your plot to exercise once a day along with members of your household, your support bubble or one other person but everyone should remain in the confines of your plot and keep two metres apart from others at all times.

If you take your children, ensure that they stay within your plot and do not play on the communal paths and spaces.

Please observe social distancing and keep two metres apart from others at all times.

The National Allotment Society has produced useful advice on the impacts of the virus outbreak for allotment holders, see here.

You can drive to visit your allotment site if it is not possible to walk.

Please do not share tools or any other equipment.

Wash your hands for 20 seconds before visiting an allotment site and avoid touching your face if you handle any gates or locks. If possible, use hand sanitiser after touching any surfaces, or wash your hands for 20 seconds when you return home.

If you display any symptoms of COVID-19, you should not visit any public spaces and instead, self-isolate at home.
